Finally completed stage one of our journey by managing to get to the departure lounge at Heathrow. Not completely trouble free, an accident on the M1 delayed us, then we discovered we needed a visa for Australia. Visions of refused entry and needing a trip to the Australian embassy flashed through our heads, but no. For a simple charge the Cathy Pacific ticketing desk sorted us out in less than 10 minutes. Phew!! So far it's taken us five and a half hours to go from home to a nice glass of Rioja Reserva in the business class lounge. Next destination - Hong Kong.

Wow, that was good of Cathay Pacific. We have ours already fortunately but good to know that Cathay Pacific would do this.
